Great news folks, Google, as promised, has started rolling out Android Lollipop update for Android One devices in India - Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream UNO Mi-498 and Karbonn Sparkle V. Google launched Android One smartphones in Indonesia as well running Android 5.1 Lollipop, which might mean that devices in India might get the newer update, but there's no confirmation on that front.
Caesar Sengupta, VP Android Division broke the news on Google+ saying that the Lollipop update for Android One devices is being rolled out in stages and random smartphones every week will get the OTA update.
Android Lollipop will bring in material design, new notifications, battery saver, better security, new quick settings and faster more responsive UI. If you have received the update for your Android One smartphone, do let us know your experience.
