Android Pay

Mobile payments are taking centerstage around the world, but they haven't been solved yet. Apple Pay is a strong proposition but Android's penetration is deeper. Android Pay is here to leverage that user-pool with NFC connectivity and support for Fingerprint recognition.

The system uses a virtual card that saves data onto your smartphone and then acts as a proxy for your card keeping all your information safe. Google has partnered with American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Right at launch, Android Pay will be available with 700,000 stores in the US with contact-less payment gateways.

Moreover, Android Pay will come pre-installed on all carrier subsidized smartphones in the US at AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and Sprint.

Android Pay will come to every device with NFC connectivity running Android 4.4 KitKat or above. It will be launched alongside Android M.
