Apple iPhone Fold has now surfaced in its first CAD-based render, appearing alongside CAD drawings meant for case and accessory makers, providing an early glimpse at the device’s highly unconventional dimensions following the leak of the iPhone lineup roadmap.
iPhone Fold CAD render leak highlights unusual proportions -
In line with earlier rumors, Apple appears to have deliberately avoided a square inner display. When unfolded, the device is designed to be used in landscape orientation. This approach could allow seamless compatibility with iPad apps from day one, without requiring developers to make changes—though this remains speculative.
Apple iPhone Fold CAD measurements -

According to the leaked CAD data, the iPhone Fold features a 7.76-inch folding inner display with a resolution of 2713 × 1920. The outer cover screen measures 5.49 inches and has a 1422 × 2088 resolution, resulting in a notably uncommon aspect ratio.

In terms of size, the device measures 120.6 × 83.8 × 9.6 mm when folded, expanding to 120.6 × 167.6 × 4.8 mm when unfolded.

The render also reveals an under-display selfie camera on the main inner screen, while the cover display uses a hole-punch cutout for its front-facing camera. On the back, the iPhone Fold is shown with a dual-camera setup housed in an oval-shaped bar reminiscent of the iPhone Air design.
Availability? -
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is widely expected to be unveiled at a fall iPhone event next year, but a fresh report indicates that actual shipments could be pushed back to 2027. The device, tentatively referred to as the iPhone Fold, is said to be running behind schedule, according to well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In a research note, Kuo stated that Apple’s foldable iPhone is likely to encounter early yield problems and other manufacturing hurdles as it approaches mass production. Although Apple is still expected to officially announce the iPhone Fold in the second half of 2026, Kuo warns that stable, large-scale shipments may not commence until 2027.
As per current expectations, the iPhone Fold could be priced at around $2,400 in the US and feature a 5.8-inch outer display paired with a 7.58-inch flexible inner screen.
