Yes, the day is here when your smartphone has more RAM than your year old laptop. Asus has just unveiled the Zenfone 2 with a 64-bit Intel Atom processor and 4 GB RAM at CES 2015, here in Las Vegas.

The Asus Zenfone 2 features a 5.5-inch 1080p full-HD display with a 72% screen-to-body ratio with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Intel's 64-bit Z3580 processor takes care of performance which is said to be 3.1 times faster than some of the quad-core competitors out there. Then there's the humongous and quite possibly wasteful 4 GB RAM, the first phone to feature this monstrosity. There are some changes in the build as well, the power button has been moved to the top and the volume rocker has been moved to the back just below the rear camera.

There's a 3000 mAh non-removable battery powering the innards with fast charging which can charge the phone up to 60% in just 39 minutes.

The Zenfone 2 will come in Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Grey, Ceramic White and Glamor Red colors starting March 2015 for just $199 (about Rs. 12600).
