Asus has announced that they will begin updating its Zenfone series to Android 5.0 Lollipop this May. The Zenfone 5 LTE (A500KL) has already started receiving its Lollipop update. The Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 are stated to get the update mid-may.
The Asus Zenfone 2 was launched last week running Android 5.0 Lollipop. Since, Asus Zenfones run on Zen UI you will not notice a huge difference in overall user experience. Although LockScreen notifications, pull-down quick toggles, ART runtime, user profiles, screen pinning would be added with the update.
Roll-out will depend on region.
