Gionee Elife E8 has just been announced at Beijing, it comes with a 6-inch quad-HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit processor running Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo UI 3.1 on top.


Coming to build, it features a unibody metal design with aluminium-magnesium alloy which is 9.3mm thick and given the 6-inch display size and 3520 mAh battery it weighs in at at an understandable 207 grams. There's a 23.7MP camera at the back with dual-tone LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization, 4K video recording, 6P lens which can stitch images upto 120-megapixels alongwith a 8MP front-facing camera. There's 3GB RAM on-board with 32GB storage which is expandable up to 128GB.


The Elife E8 just like current flagships from Samsung, Apple and HTC features a fingerprint sensor, NXP Smart PA chip for better audio and stereo speakers with DTS. It is a dual-SIM smartphone with 4G LTE support, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, NFC also come standard.


Announced alongside the Marathon M5, the flagship Gionee Elife E8 has been priced at 3999 Chinese Yuan (about US$ 644 or Rs. 41,000) and will be available in China starting June 15th, coming to India in August.
