Gionee Elife E8 has finally launched in India, the latest flagship from the company in its E series and it doesn't come cheap. It was announced in China earlier in June, packing a 6-inch QHD (2560x1440 Pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection running on the MediaTek Helio x10 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. It is a 64-bit chipset with dual-SIM 4G LTE support.
The Elife E8 gets 3GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage running Android 5.1 Lollipop based AMIGO OS 3.1. Gionee further added that they have customized Amigo OS 3.1 for India, with support for 9 Indian languages. The focus however here is on the camera, the Elife E8 gets a 23.7MP rear camera with dual-tone flash alongwith a 8MP wide-angle lens front-camera. The rear camera is capable of shooting 4K video and comes with 3-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS.)
The build is quite good on the device, you have a aluminium/magnesium alloy frame here with a removable back with expandable storage but non-removable battery. It has dual-speakers at the back with NXP PA Audio chip and DTS support. Gionee has also packed in a 3520 mAh battery here which is capable of fast charging, and the company says you can get half day's worth of usage with just 30 minutes of charge.
The Gionee Elife E8 will be available in Gold color only, going on sale October 12th for Rs. 34,999. It will be exclusively available on Snapdeal.
