Gionee has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Pioneer P4 with new homescreen layout, UI improvements and updated apps.

- Updated NQ mobile security for better protection of your phone
- Updated Kingsoft Office for more efficient work and study related operations
- Added two games : Hitout Heroes and TexasPoker
- Updated WeChat with new interactive interface for smoother communication
- Updated Map with only one entrance into the main menu
- Theme and wallpaper will be reset to default after system update, but data will not be lost. Simply re-apply chosen theme and wallpaper.
Gionee Pioneer P4 Specs and Photos
The KitKat update for the Pioneer P4 is about 800 MB in size and is available over-the-air (OTA), so you would need to be connected to a good/fast WiFi connection. You can also check for the update manually by going into Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates and then check for updates.
