Google Nexus 5 Announced

Finally, after months of leaked specs, images and even walkthrough videos Nexus 5 running Android 4.4 KitKat is now official. This time around LG and Google are not skimping on specs, the Nexus 5 runs on a 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB RAM, 4.95-inches 1080p display, 8 megapixels primary camera and a surprisingly tiny 2300 mAh battery. In terms of connectivity the phone features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC as well as Qi Wireless charging.

The 8MP primary camera has optical image stabilization and is accompanied by a 1.3 MP secondary camera. The display is covered in a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 while the rest of the device is enveloped in a rubberized material that LG likes to call silky texture and seems very similar to the finish on the 2013 Nexus 7. The Nexus 5 has been priced at $349 for 16GB and $399 for 32GB storage variants. It will be available in both black and white colors.

The Nexus 5 has been listed on Play Store in India as well, with a price tag of Rs. 28,990 for 16GB and Rs. 32,990 for 32GB.
