This is Google's next flagship, the Huawei Nexus 6P running on Snapdragon 810 with 5.7-inch Quad-HD Display

Google today announced not one but two new Nexus devices. The Nexus 5X is the smaller of the two with a 5.2-inch display while the Nexus 6P from Huawei gets a 5.7-inch quad-HD AMOLED panel. You can read more about the Nexus 5X here, this post is all about the Huawei Nexus.

Nexus 6p

Coming back to the specs here, its everything we have been talking about over the last few weeks. The Nexus 6P comes with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display at 518 PPI running on the Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has a new 12.3 MP rear camera module designed by Sony with 1.55 micron large pixels for capturing more light. It also has dua-LED flash at the back. The new camera is capable of recording 4K video alongwith 240fps slow motion video at 1080p. Alongwith the display up-front you also have stereo speakers.

The new 2015 Nexus 6P comes with an anodized aluminium unibody build which is about 7.3mm in thickness. Alongwith the camera at the back you will also find the "Nexus Imprint" fingerprint sensor which the company says is equally fast as the competition. There's 4G LTE support baked in as well, alongwith dual-band WiFi, Bouetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C port with Quick Charging. There is a 3450 mAh non-removable battery here which should be sufficient for a single day of heavy use.

Huawei Nexus 6P will be offered in 3 storage variants, you have 32GB for $499, 64GB for $549 and $649 for the 128GB storage variant. Its needless to say that storage won't be expandable here. But Google has said that there will be fewer pre-installed apps on the new Nexus devices and with the choice to install rest from the Play Store post set-up. The Nexus 6P will be going on pre-order starting today from the Google Play Store in the US, UK, Ireland, Japan with shipping in October.
