HTC just announced the One Max, which features 5.9-inch full HD display and 1.7 GHz quad-core Krait 300 processor based on the Snapdragon 600 chipset with Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB RAM. The One Max too features the same 4MP Ultrapixel camera as the original One capable of shooting upto 1080p videos at 30 FPS but without optical image stabilization. Its encased in an aluminium shell similar to the HTC One, but this time around the back is removable and contains the still not removable 3300 mAh battery along with the micro SD card slot if you want to get more storage than the built in 16 GB. The One Max runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense on top of it.
One of the major features of the HTC One Max apart from its ginormous display is that it has a fingerprint sensor at the back using which you can unlock the device with a single touch, you can also launch apps on unlock and dedicate an app to be launched on unlock based on the finger used to unlock the smartphone. Although there's no Beats Audio, BoomSound stereo speakers still are loud as ever. The display is not the only huge part of the One Max, it weighs a ton too at 217 grams.
The HTC One Max will hit European and Asian markets by the end of the week, while residents of the US will have to wait till the end of the year to get their paws on One Max. Pricing is yet to be revealed.
