LastPass password manager has been hacked. The company has revealed that hackers have gained access to quite a lot of sensitive information including password reminders, email addresses, and encrypted master passwords.
LastPass discovered the suspicious activity and blocked it immediately. There are 76 million users of the LastPass service but all of the users' data has not been compromised. The company has begun sending emails to affected users. They are recommending everyone to change their master passwords and enabling 2-factor authentication.
If you have a weak password or use the same on other sites, the hackers may gain access to your account. It is advisable to keep a check on any unusual activity in your accounts and to change passwords immediately.
