Lava has launched its new Icon smartphone with a 5-inch HD IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable storage running the company's own StarOS based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
There's a 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, Sony Exmor R Sensor capable of recording 1080p videos and a 5 MP front-facing camera with Omni Vision sensor and BSI-II sensor for better low-light imaging. Lava also says that the rear camera is able to capture 27% more light under low-light conditions.
There are several gestures built-in to launch apps even when your phone is in sleep mode by drawing letters on the phone's display. Lava Icon has been priced at Rs. 11,990 and will be available online exclusively through Snapdeal at an offer price of Rs. 11,499 will a free selfie-stick for first 500 customers. It will be available through select retail stores as well.
