LG has made the G Watch R official. Running on Android Wear, its the world's first true circular smartwatch which uses the entire round display. The display on the G Watch R is a P-OLED or Plastic-OLED panel which LG last used on the G Flex. The Moto 360 which piqued interest due to its circular display has a black bar at the bottom of the display, therefore its not exactly a completely round smartwatch.
Coming to specs, there's the 1.3-inch (320x320 Pixels) display with 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512 MB RAM, 4GB internal storage running Android Wear. The G Watch R is water resistant with IP67 rating. It comes with a 410 mAh battery, acceleromter, gyroscope, compass, barometer as well as photoplethysmography sensor for measuring heartbeat.
At present LG is planning to launch the G Watch R in black color only and it will be showcased at IFA 2014.
