Hardware Specs

Coming to specs, the LG G4 features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (2560x1440 Pixels) display, powered by a 1.8 GHz Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 with Adreno 418 GPU, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. You also have a microSD card slot to expand storage.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE (Cat.6) support, dual-band WiFi ac, WiFi direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, IR Blaster and FM Radio. Wireless charging is also baked in and you have a 3000 mAh removable battery here.

Display

You have a quad-HD panel on the LG G4 with thin bezels giving it a 74.3% screen-to-body ratio. LG says that the new display is 20% brighter than the LG G3.

Camera

You have a 16 MP rear camera on the LG G4 compared to 13 MP on the G3 and here too you get Optical Image Stabilization and laser autofocus. Moreover, this time around you have a f/1.8 lens, giving it far better low-light performance. You also have a dual-tone flash this time around. In the front you have a 8 MP selfie camera.

The rear 16 MP camera is capable of capturing 2160p (4K) videos and panoramas of up to 104 MP. You have manual control over shutter speed and the G4 can capture RAW images.

Software

LG had already announced that the G4 will be using its new UX 4.0 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The bulk it seems is now gone, and we have a more refined UX. You will have new options like an Expert Camera Mode, Smart Alerts based on location, Quick Capture to take a picture immediately alongwith Knock On, Knock Code and a new Quick Cover.
