This is the flagship Micromax had been working on, the Canvas 5 with a 5.2-inch 1080p display and metal frame. The Micromax Canvas 5 also comes with 4G LTE connectivity over both the FDD and TDD LTE bands in India with Double Data offer from Airtel for 3 Months. The display has 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on top, which makes for a smoother touch experience, especially with swipes and gestures.

Coming to the rest of the specs, Canvas 5 runs on the MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage running Android 5.1 Lollipop which Micromax says is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is a dual-SIM 4G LTE device, with one SIM card supporting 4G and the other just 2G.

You can also expect better camera performance with the Canvas 5 which now uses a Samsung 3M2 ISOCELL sensor previously seen on the Oppo R7 alongwith Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF). There is a 5MP front-camera here with a front-firing flash for better selfies in low-light.
