Lumia owners, be happy. Microsoft has started rolling out its camera centric Lumia Denim update. The update brings both imaging improvements as well as Cortana voice commands to a number of new regions.
India, Australia, Canada, France Germany, Spain and Italy are getting an Alpha build of Cortana voice activation with the update while UK gets beta support. You would now be able to use "Hey, Cortana" phrase from anywhere to active voice commands. Natural language processing for Cortana has also been improved upon with the update. Live folders support is something that's additional here as well.
Newer handsets like the Lumia 830, 930, 1520 and Icon get the most camera centric features like faster shooting, Rich Capture which enables HDR, Dynamic Exposure, Dynamic Flash alongwith better overall image quality. 4K video capture will also be enabled on compatible devices. Moreover, Internet explorer too is getting a makeover with faster browsing and downloads.
The Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 dubbed the Lumia Denim update will be hitting a limited number of devices in selected markets starting this month.
