Moto X 1st Gen

Motorola is hard at work to release Android 5 Lollipop update for the 1st Moto X. While the Moto E (about to), both Moto G 1st and 2nd as well as the new Moto X (Gen 2) have already got a taste of Lollipop. But its the update for the comeback kid that's hit a roadblock.

Motorola says that the update needs a bit of work for the chipset of the older Moto X. Compatibility issues with the Snapdragon S4 Pro running the Moto X Gen 1 are being worked out but there is no definite timeline as to when the update will finally roll-out. The Moto X is well quipped to run Android Lolipop with its 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, 2 GB RAM and Adreno 320 GPU but its older hardware and Motorola had tweaked the chipset a bit as well to provide touchless control features.

But its great to hear that the guys over at Motorola are working on the update and say that its coming soon, even if there is no definite timeline.
