Yesterday, Motorola launched two new smartphones for Verizon or shall we say one new smartphone. The Droid Maxx 2 is just a re-branded Moto X Play with Verizon branding all over.

The Droid Maxx 2 has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 21MP camera and a whopping 3630 mAh battery capable of delivering upto 48 hours of usage. The new mid-range Droid has a 21MP rear camera, 5MP front-camera. There's 2GB RAM onboard and 16GB internal expandable storage running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. From initial reports there is quite a lot of carrier bloatware on the device.
