Nokia 6 is going on its first flash sale on January 19th, and with 2 days 2 go there have been about 1 million registrations by people who intend to buy the phone. This is a huge achievement for HMD Global who are bringing Nokia Android smartphones to the world.

At present, though, you can only purchase the Nokia 6 from JD.com in China for about $245 and the retailer does not ship the device anywhere outside the country. So we won't be able to get our hands on the device anytime soon, but according to another report HMD may be prepping a global variant of the Nokia 6 with model number TA-1003 (Chinese Nokia 6 has model number TA-1000,) but the company has been very tight-lipped about the whole affair.

Last week, there were also rumors of the Nokia 8 smartphone allegedly showcased by Qualcomm with Snapdragon 835 and a 24MP rear camera, but that turned out to be a reference smartphone just to showcase the new hardware. We are sure to see more Nokia smartphones at MWC 2017, as the company plans to launch several devices this year.

HMD Global has set a date for February 26, just a day ahead of MWC where these new Android phones will be announced.
