Nokia Normandy Leak

Whether Nokia plans to launch the Normandy Android smartphone is still a mystery but that isn't stopping anyone from gathering intel on the subject. A new leaked image shows an alleged engineering prototype of the Nokia Normandy or Nokia A110 as it was called in the recently leaked AnTuTu benchmarks. The image itself doesn't reveal much as most of the design elements are hidden in a black casing only revealing the Nokia boot animation and a capacitive back button found on Asha series of phones. Could this simply be a Nokia Asha device, it might just be that.

Last time we also saw some screenshots of the alleged custom Android ROM of the Normandy, but those too seemed fake or atleast manipulated. The question remains, why is everyone so hell-bent on getting Nokia to make an Android smartphone or it is a sly effort from Nokia to get out of its deal with Microsoft. With Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia's hardware division almost complete, it simply doesn't make sense as to why the company is still pursuing an Android powered smartphone.
