Nokia_x_plus Launched India

Nokia had said that the X+ and Nokia XL will be available within 60 days after the launch of the X. Staying true to their word, the Nokia XL went on sale last week and now the Nokia X+ has been officially launched in India.

Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India Sales, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile had this to say

After receiving a great response with the Nokia X, which introduced the category to this market, we are now bringing the much awaited Nokia XL and X+ to our consumers. Nokia XL, our flagship offering within the Nokia X family, comes packed with a large screen experience with a superlative front camera and a wide array of apps, offering a great Smartphone experience at an affordable price point. This will be further amplified through the X+ which will be simultaneously launched with the XL completing the Nokia X family serving as the perfect introduction to the world of Android apps, , coupled with signature Nokia experiences, and the most popular Microsoft services.

The Nokia X+ has the exact same specifications as the Nokia X apart from RAM. The Nokia X+ comes with 768 MB RAM while X comes with 512 MB. Rest of the specs include 4-inch WVGA display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8225 processor with Adreno 203 GPU running AOSP build (Android 4.1.2) with a 3 MP camera. We reviewed the Nokia X some time back and were underwhelmed by its weak performance and its the weak processor not the RAM which is the main culprit. So the increase in RAM in the Nokia X+ wouldn't improve things significantly.

Still, if you want to go with the Nokia X+, it has been priced at Rs. 8,399 and will be available later this week.
