The OnePlus 2 has just gone official. As with all the previous leaks and information shared by OnePlus, the OnePlus 2 comes with Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB onboard storage, 13MP rear camera with OIS, 5MP front camera, 3300 mAh Battery running Android 5.1 Lollipop based OxygenOS. All this priced at just $329 (about Rs. 21,100) for 16GB storage and $389 (about Rs. 25,000) for 64GB storage.

The 13MP rear camera on the OnePlus 2 gets optical image stabilizaton, laser autofocus like the LG G3/G4. There's a dual-LED flash as well, and its capable of recording 4K videos. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE support, dual-band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS alongwith the USB Type C port for data-syncing/charging. Although the OnePlus 2 has a 1080p display just as the OnePlus One, but its brighter and has better contrast. A 1080p display would sap less power, but we'd see how it looks at the launch event in India today. There's an intuitive alert slider on the left using which you can toggle between different notification modes, All, Priority and None.
The USB Type C reversible is another new addition alongwith the fingerprint scanner which is being touted to be faster than the iPhone 6 and can store upto 5 profiles. We have played with OxygenOS and it was a very vanilla take on Android with some enhancements made. OxygenOS on the OnePlus 2 takes it a step further to make it easier to use with custom accent colors and a dark mode for themes.

OnePlus 2 64 will be available in India priced at Rs. 24,999 on August 11 exclusively on Amazon India. There will be a 3GB LPDDR4 RAM, 16GB storage variant of the OnePlus 2 available later this year.
