Although OnePlus hasn't revealed any specific timeline for Nougat update on the OnePlus 3, the modders and developers over at CyanogenMod have already started working on an Android 7.0 Nougat build.
There is an unofficial CyanogenMod 14 build floating around the interwebs which gives the latest flavor of Android on your OnePlus 3. Since this is a very early build, there are a few kinks that need to be worked out.

So, here are the caveats, you can't make phone calls, the camera doesn't work, neither do the Alert Slider nor Dash Charging. Its definitely a work in progress and not meant for everyday use. But you can install apps, bluetooth, NFC and GPS do seem to work fine. Given the newer hardware it would be easier to bring Nougat to the OnePlus 3, than say the Nexus 5.
