OnePlus 3 has just gone official, although there wasn't much left to see after today's leaks.
The new OnePlus 3 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display with built-in night mode and blue-light filter to ease strain on your eyes when reading at night. Its powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC which consists of new Kryo cores from Qualcomm with 2 clocked at 2.2GHz and 2 clocked at 1.6GHz. All this is kept neat in a unibody metal shell which is just 7.35mm in thickness and weighs 158 grams.
There are two variants of the OnePlus 3 based on memory and storage, 4GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage. It has a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, both Optical Image Stabilization and Electronic Image Stabilization are also present along with phase-detection autofocus. The camera at the back uses a Sony IMX298 sensor while the 8MP front-camera has a IMX179 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It can capture 4K videos with the rear camera, 720p slow motion videos at 120 fps and 1080 videos with the front-camera.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE support, dual-band WiFi ac, GPS with GLONASS, NFC and a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. It runs on Android Marshmallow based Oxygen OS 3.1 which brings in more customization with configurable accent colors. There's Google Now on Tap support built-in as well and you can choose between hardware or on-screen keys for navigation.
You do have a multi-color notification LED present here is as well which is configurable. Then there are some gestures including double-tap to wake, toggle flashlight, open camera and control music. Powering all of this is a 3000 mAh battery which supports OnePlus' own fast charging tech dubbed Dash Charge which charges the battery on the OnePlus 3 to 60% in just 30 minutes.
OnePlus 3 Pricing and Availability
OnePlus 3 will come in Graphite and Soft Gold color options. Its priced at Rs. 27,999 in India and will be sold exclusively through Amazon through open sales starting in a couple of hours at 12:30 AM June 15th.
In the US OnePlus 3 will be sold at $399 without any contract or invite.
