After taking a look at the making of the OnePlus 5, the phone has finally gone official. OnePlus has gone with a 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display which now has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on the Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is paired with 6 or 8 GB of RAM based on the storage option you choose. There's 64GB or 128GB storage variants to choose from, which the company says now employs two lane transfer for faster installation speeds, boot time and app loading as well.

But the highlight here are the dual rear cameras on the OnePlus 5. There's a 16MP primary camera accompanied by a 20MP secondary sensor on the back. The second 20MP camera is used to capture depth information and also gives the OnePlus 5 the capability of 2X optical zoom, yes, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. There's a portrait mode available here too which blurs the background, highlighting the subject in front.

On the design front, the OnePlus 5 comes with an anodized aluminum build which is just 7.25mm in thickness. It has a ceramic fingerprint sensor, similar to the OnePlus 3. All this is powered by a 3300 mAh battery which supports Dash Charging which allows it to give a full day of use in just a half hour of charge.
