Realme has announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone, the realme 16T 5G in India on May 22, 2026. The smartphone arrives as the successor to last year’s realme 15T and is being promoted as a battery-focused device with an emphasis on long-lasting performance and optimized power efficiency.
Massive 8000mAh Battery and Endurance Claims -
The biggest highlight of the realme 16T 5G is its large 8000mAh battery. According to realme, the phone is capable of delivering up to 3 days of usage on a single charge based on the company’s internal DOU V3.0 heavy-use testing standards.
Designed for users with demanding usage patterns such as gaming, video streaming, and navigation, the device is also claimed to offer up to 11 hours of continuous BGMI gameplay while sustaining a stable 60FPS experience.
45W Fast Charging and Battery Protection Features -
realme is also introducing its “7-Year Battery Health” technology with the 16T 5G, aimed at minimizing long-term battery degradation through advanced battery management algorithms.
The phone supports 45W fast charging and comes equipped with several battery protection and thermal management features, including All-Scenario Bypass Charging, Advanced Temperature Protection, and Overcharge Protection for safer and more stable charging during extended sessions.
Slim Design with New Rear Finish -
Even with the massive battery, the realme 16T 5G maintains an 8.88mm slim profile and features a flat 6.8-inch display. The device sports a metallic-finish mid-frame along with an aluminum alloy camera module.
On the back, the smartphone introduces a new “Gleaming Wings” textured gradient design created using a three-layer coating process with multi-colored particles, resulting in silver, green, and glitter accents.
The phone will be offered in three color variants: Aurora Green, Starlight Red, and Starlight Black.
