Russian YotaPhone goes on sale today, dual-displays in tow

Yota has finally made the dual-display wielding YotaPhone available for sale. The final product will first be available in Russia and then parts of Europe. The phoen has two displays, the main display on the front is 4.3-inch 720p LCD color display, while the back display is again 4.3-inch in size but is an e-ink display with a resolution of 360x640 pixels.

The YotaPhone is powered by a 1.7GHz Krait based Snapdragon MSM8960 processor with 2GB RAM. The device also comes with a Put2Back app which puts the current app to the back display. The device even with the two displays is quite thin at 10mm and weighs in at 146 grams. There's 32GB of internal memory which is not expandable. The YoTaPhone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with a  custom UI which enables the use of the e-ink display.

The YotaPhone will be available starting today in Russia, and later through retail stores in Germany. Austria, France and Spain will get the YotaPhone through online retailers in mid-december. UK, Greece, Cyprus, Czech Republic and parts of the middle-east will get the phone in January 2014. The YotaPhone has been priced at 499 euros. At present there is no word on whether the phone will be available in India.
