Project Morpheus and all of Sony's VR ambitions, will now come under a new brand name, PlayStation VR. The company confirmed today at its TGS (Tokyo Game Show) Conference.
Till now Project Morpheus was a buzzword with developers only, there had been no mention of a commercial release. But things are about to change and we might be playing games in Virtual Reality soon on the PS4.
Alongwith the trailer for PlayStation VR which showed the name announcement, there were several games being played there as well including Cyber Danganronpa VR, Final Fantasy 14, a Hatsune Miku demo, RIGS, The Playroom VR, among others which means Sony might have already developed consumer grade VR versions of these games.
At present though there is no word on a commercial release or price-point for that matter. But things look interesting for VR gaming.
