Sony has officially confirmed that its next Xperia 1 smartphone will launch on May 15th Globally, deviating from earlier reports which suggested a May 17th unveiling. The event is anticipated to introduce the Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI smartphones.
Sony Xperia 1 VI -
According to recent rumors, the Xperia 1 VI is expected to boast a 2K OLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, BRAVIA HDR remaster technology, and a setup of 48MP triple rear cameras. This setup comprises a wide-angle 24mm lens (48mm with 2X Optical Zoom), an ultrawide angle 16mm lens, and a telephoto zoom 85-170mm lens (Up to 7X Zoom).
The device is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, featuring enhanced heat diffusion and a vapor chamber to prevent overheating. Additionally, it is rumored to house a 5000mAh battery with support for wireless and reverse wireless charging, alongside upgraded battery health technology.
Sony Xperia 10 VI -
The Sony Xperia 10 VI is expected to feature a 21:9 OLED display, main and ultrawide cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, and IP65 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance. It is also reported to maintain the lightweight design of its predecessor while housing a 5000mAh battery.
