Xiaomi to sell phones offline in India through The Mobile Store

Xiaomi will sells phones offline in India in partnership with The Mobile Store. According to a report from ET, Xiaomi will be selling Mi 4 and Redmi Note 4G through 55 The Mobile Store outlets in Delhi NCR starting today. These will be available at the same price as they are sold on Flipkart at Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively.


There will be an experience zone setup in these 55 The Mobile Stores where people will be able to test out Mi devices and then buy them as well. These stores will also act as service centers for Xiaomi customers, atleast the first phase where the devices to repair will be collected.


Manu Jain was quoted as saying:

This will be the first time that we’re getting into offline trade in India. In China, about 20-30% of total sales through come from telecom operators stores while the rest comes from our online store.

However, the Redmi 2 will still be available exclusively on Flipkart. You can have a look at its review below.

Xiaomi earlier tied up with Airtel to sell the Redmi Note 4G through Airtel stores back in December. But now it seems that Xiaomi is ramping-up plans for more market share in India.
