The last flash sale for the Xiaomi Redmi 1S lasted less than 5 seconds, disappointed buyers will now have another chance to get the budget smartphone on September 9th at 2 PM. Xiaomi has just announced that it will have 40,000 devices available on Flipkart. Registrations are now open for next week's sale.
The Redmi 1S is a category defining smartphone with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB RAM and Android 4.3 based MIUI ROM. These specs were last seen on the Moto G, but at half the price, just Rs. 5999. Xiaomi Mi 3 also has an 8 MP camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture lens alongwith a 1.6 MP front-facing shooter.

There's 8 GB internal storage which is expandable using the microSD card slot and battery is pegged at 2000 mAh. Xiaomi has temporarily halted the sale of the Mi3 in India to focus on the Redmi 1s.
