XOLO A510s was launched this month with a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor, 1 GB RAM running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Its this 1 GB RAM that had us curious to see how it would perform at gaming, since the Mali-400MP GPU powering the graphics has proven that it can handle a bit of high-end gaming.

Gaming Review

Apps are movable to the SD card alongwith app-data, so you never have to worry about installing large games. Therefore, we played several high-end games on the XOLO A510s including Asphalt 8, MC4, NOVA 3, Real Racing 3, FIFA 14, GTA: Vice City, Dead Trigger 2, Frontline Commando: D-day as well as Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2.

Conclusion

Although the XOLO A510s comes with 1 GB RAM, gaming is laggy making us believe that the MT6572 chipset just can't handle 1 GB RAM, with 512 RAM it performs better. The touch response is a bit iffy as well, making it sluggish to pan-around in games. FPS games are out of the question with quite a bit of lag in touch response and generally low framerates.

Although the display looks good without any ghosting or freezing, but that's no consolation in gaming especially when framerates are in-consistent and generally pointing down. Simply put, the XOLO A510s is definitely not meant for gaming.
