XOLO to launch Q1000 Opus powered by Broadcom BCM23550, the company's first quad-core chip

Xolo Q1000 Opus

XOLO is all set to launch the Q1000 Opus later this month, which will features Broadcom's new BCM23550 quad-core SoC. The new SoC features 4 Cortex-A7 cores just like the MediaTek MT6589 chipset, but has support for Broadcom's own homegrown connectivity chip BCM4334 with 3G HSPA+ support and BCM4572 monolithic GPS receiver with Glonass support. BCM23550 also supports NFC, upto 12 MP primary camera with 1080p video capture and dual-SIM support, making it ideal for the Indian market.


At present though not much is known about the specifications of the XOLO Q1000 Opus, however if we were to venture an educated guess, here's what it may feature:

  • Display: 5-inch 720x1280 pixels
  • OS: Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Processor: 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550
  • GPU: VideoCore IV GPU 
  • Connectivity: 3G HSPA+, GPS with GLONASS support


The XOLO Q1000 Opus will launch by the end of November. We'll keep you updated about its price and availability.
