Xolo Q1001

XOLO has launched yet another device running on Android 4.4 KitKat even though the company has started updating its smartphones to Lollipop. The new XOLO Q1001 runs on the MediaTek MT6582M quads-core processor with just 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. Moreover, with a resolution of just 854x480 pixels for a 5-inch display (196 PPI) you can expect pixelated text and icons.

There's a 5 MP camera at the back with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. There's a 2000 mAh battery running the show and it comes with the usual connectivity options including dual-SIM 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio and GPS.

XOLO Q1001 Specs and Photos

In a day and age where every brand is trying to be more competitive XOLO is undermining its own brand value by launching such devices. In the past I have been an admirer of the company with their attention to design and build quality. The company wanted to push towards making itself a premium brand in the market, but the recent downward trend in both quality and value proposition has left me wondering, where is XOLO going from here?

Well if you want, the XOLO Q1001 will be available soon in black and white colors for Rs. 6,199, You would be better off getting an Android One smartphone or the Asus Zenfone 4.
