The Galaxy Note 7 was just unveiled a couple of hours ago and the most unique thing about the phone is its Iris Scanner, which not only adds an added layer of Biometric protection to your smartphone but is also compatible with Samsung Pay.
Using the Iris Scanner you would be able to make purchases with Samsung Pay, so quite literally you would be able to make payments with your eyes. The company says, that Iris or Eye authentication is far more secure than a fingerprint and the Galaxy Note 7 will only allow one set of eyes to be mapped for a device.
Which means only you would have access to your payment information on the Note 7, and Samsung maintains they have worked a lot on the recognition algorithms which cannot be fooled by any means. A claim that we would certainly like to test ourselves.

Not only Samsung Pay, the Iris scanner also lets you pay for in-app purchases, banking transactions with Samsung Pass which allows for third party developers, banks to use Biometric authentication from the device. This would be quite useful in India, where AADHAR cards require users to give both fingerprints and Iris biometric data during registration making it easier to do mobile banking transactions, security checks, in the future.
One thing that may stand in the way of widespread adoption is how intuitive it is to use. When fingerprint sensors were first introduced on smartphones they were thought to be gimmicks and cumbersome. Apple and Samsung popularized the feature, and actually made it useful. Samsung has another such feature in its hands. Holding your phone in front of your face till your eyes get detected may not be the most intuitive thing one tends to do, but that's what we may have to learn.
