YU Yuphoria was launched today at an event in New Delhi. It comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display clad in Corning Gorilla Glass 3, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM running Android 5.0 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12. There's a 8 MP AF rear camera, 5 MP front camera on the Yuphoria.
There's a metal frame around the device, which does give a premium feel to the device. Rahul Sharma, YU Founder further added that they have applied for 4 patents on the design of the YU Yuphoria and that it will be made in India after the first few initial batches are procured from China.
The Yuphoria comes with 2230 mAh removable battery. It is a dual-SIM device, comes with support for Cat.4 4G LTE including supported Indian bands. On the audio front we have Wolfson Stereo DAC for better audio quality.
Now, the main thing is the price, the YU Yuphoria with its premium look and feel has been priced at Rs. 6999 and it would be available exclusively through Amazon.in starting May 28th. Registration for the flash sale begin today at 5 PM.
