Gionee's selfie centric smartphone in the S series, the Gionee S6s was launched in India today at an event in New Delhi. The S6s comes with upgraded specs compared to the S6 which was launched last year in November.
You now have a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 on top running on the dated MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC which uses 8 cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.3GHz. But there's 32GB onboard storage which can be expanded with a microSD card upto 128GB and 3GB RAM. To increase storage however, you would have to sacrifice a SIM slot.
Gionee S6s Key Specs and Features

Gionee has given more prominence to the front camera here which has been upgraded to an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens and LED flash. The 13MP rear camera too now uses a Sony IMX258 sensor with f/2.0 aperture for better low light performance and PDAF for faster autofocus. You can record 1080p videos with the rear camera here. Just below the rear camera you will also find a round fingerprint sensor.
On the build front you have a metal unibody construction which means that the 3150mAh battery is not removable and there is no fast charging. It isn't necessarily a thin device at 8.27mm but didn't seem bulky.
