Moving beyond the traditional focus on camera hardware specifications, the company introduced a comprehensive imaging ecosystem that combines optical innovation, artificial intelligence, and professional-grade cinematic workflows.

During the event, HONOR also revealed its refreshed brand identity and announced impressive pre-order achievements for its upcoming flagship smartphone, highlighting the company's transformation from a smartphone manufacturer into an AI-driven intelligent device ecosystem provider.

HONOR AiMAGE: A Unified Chip-Device-Cloud Imaging Platform

At the core of the announcement was HONOR's new "Optics-Intelligence Evolution" philosophy, which emphasizes that while premium optics deliver superior image quality, AI-powered processing unlocks greater creative possibilities. To bring this vision to life, HONOR introduced the AiMAGE engine, which operates across three integrated layers:

  • Chip Level: A self-developed Transformer-based AI Image Signal Processor (ISP) redesigns conventional imaging pipelines. The system works alongside next-generation pixel arrays and Event-Based Vision Sensor (EVS) technology to capture richer and more detailed raw image data.
  • Device Level: Physical stabilization hardware is combined with real-time computational photography. This includes a custom titanium alloy three-axis gimbal paired with high-precision motion sensors for improved stabilization and motion tracking.
  • Cloud Level: Cloud-powered image processing enables RAW-domain enhancement, spatial imaging technologies, and AI-driven Imaging Agent tools, reducing the computational burden on the smartphone while enhancing post-processing capabilities.

  • Compact Micro Motor: HONOR developed a custom micro motor that is approximately 70% smaller than conventional industry solutions.

HONOR also announced a strategic collaboration with ARRI, one of the world's leading cinema camera manufacturers, to bring professional filmmaking technologies to smartphones.

The HONOR Robot Phone becomes the first smartphone to natively support ARRI Log-C3 recording along with custom LUT (Look-Up Table) color profiles. Users will be able to download and apply professional cinema-grade C-Log profiles and LUTs while accessing advanced filmmaking tools such as focus lock, white balance lock, exposure lock (AE Lock), and camera motion data recording for professional video production.
