HONOR has launched its latest smartphone in the new WIN series, the HONOR WIN and HONOR WIN RT in China, delivering on its promise of a new gaming-focused smartphone lineup. Both models feature a large 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with an ultra-smooth 185Hz refresh rate, paired with 5920Hz PWM “zero-risk” dimming for reduced eye strain. To ensure ultra-low latency during gaming, the display also supports 3500Hz instant touch sampling, enhancing precision in aiming, movement, and combo execution.
The HONOR WIN RT is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the standard HONOR WIN runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. Both devices are equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and offer storage options of up to 1TB using UFS 4.1 technology.
To manage heat during intense gaming sessions, the smartphones employ HONOR’s Dongfeng Turbo Cooling system. This setup introduces an industry-first direct-drive airflow design with dual 360-degree surround cooling fans capable of spinning at up to 25,000 RPM in “Rage Mode.” According to HONOR, the expanded air intake and high-speed airflow significantly reduce device temperatures under heavy load.
In terms of optics, both models include a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, along with a 50MP front-facing camera. The HONOR WIN adds a 50MP 3x telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities. The rear panel is crafted using an ultra-light, ultra-thin fiberglass process and features a large curved frame design with an 85% arc ratio for improved ergonomics.
Both devices feature a metal frame and carry IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, offering robust resistance against dust and water. Powering the phones is a massive 10,000mAh third-generation carbon-silicon battery—the largest ever used in a smartphone—supporting 80W wired fast charging on the HONOR WIN and 100W on the HONOR WIN RT, along with up to 27W reverse wired charging.
