LG G Pro 2 with 5.9-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800, 3 GB RAM launched

LG has finally unveiled the G Pro 2 which is a massive refresh over the Optimus G Pro with a 5.9-inch 1080p display which has a ridiculously thin bezel of just 3.3 mm, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3 GB RAM running Android 4.4 KitKat. There's a 13 MP camera at the back with LED flash which features OIS+, 4K Ultra HD video recording, Slow Motion capture at 120 FPS and several other camera features. Accompanying it is another 2.1 MP camera in the front.

You also have the Knock-ON feature to wake up the phone by knocking at the display and now you can customize the number of knocks or taps from two to eight. There's a Content Lock option available as well to protect files, videos, photos, music etc with unique passwords.

In terms of hardware it looks a lot like the G2 given the real buttons and camera layout. You can get the LG G Pro 2 with either 16 GB or 32 GB of storage which is expandable using micro SD card. Connectivity options include LTE/3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, NFC and a 3200 mAh battery to keeps things running.


There are three color options available for the LG G Pro 2 including Titan, White and Red. It will be launched internationally at MWC 2014 and is expected to go on sale in Korea first.
