Motorola has launched its first foldable smartphone in the Razr Series, the razr fold in India, as previously announced. Alongside the standard version, the company also introduced a special FIFA World Cup 26 Collection edition.
Design and Display -
The razr fold places a strong emphasis on durability while maintaining an ultra-slim form factor. It features a precision-crafted stainless steel teardrop hinge paired with a titanium inner display plate, designed to reduce visible creasing and distribute pressure more evenly across the foldable panel. Motorola also claims the device is the world’s first smartphone equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, offering up to 75% better drop resistance compared to earlier generations.

The smartphone is available in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White finishes. Thanks to its flexible hinge mechanism, the device supports multiple usage modes beyond traditional folding, including laptop mode for productivity and tent mode for media playback or hands-free shooting.
FIFA World Cup 26 Collection Edition -
In addition to the regular models, motorola unveiled the FIFA World Cup 26 Collection edition featuring a football-inspired design combined with premium materials. The rear panel uses a textured raised-dot finish inspired by sports equipment materials, offering improved grip and a distinctive tactile feel.
The design also incorporates glossy contrasting elements with prominent “26” branding for a collector-focused appearance. At the center is the official FIFA World Cup 26 logo finished with 24K gold plating, positioning the edition as a commemorative device for football fans.
Camera System -
Motorola emphasized the razr fold’s imaging performance, noting its high DXOMARK rankings among foldable smartphones in North America. The device features a triple rear camera setup along with dual selfie cameras.

Performance, Battery, and AI Features -
The razr fold is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform and comes with up to 16GB RAM along with RAM Boost support and up to 512GB internal storage. To maintain sustained performance during gaming and multitasking, the phone uses an advanced liquid cooling system.
Motorola has also committed to long-term software support, promising up to seven Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
AI integration plays a major role in the user experience through Motorola’s “moto ai” suite, which includes features such as notification summarization and real-time transcription. The device also supports third-party AI services including Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Perplexity AI.
Fueling the device is a large 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Charging support includes 80W TurboPower wired charging, which Motorola says can provide over 12 hours of battery life in just 12 minutes, along with 50W TurboPower wireless charging support.
