HMD Global has launched a 3 GB RAM variant of the Nokia 5 in India, which will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart. Nokia 5 is one of the first few devices the company launched in India.
All the other specifications of the device remain the same as that of the 2 GB RAM variant, which is already available in the market.
To recall, the Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass for protection. The dual SIM device packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset inside. Now that the phone has 3 GB of RAM, we can expect a boost in the performance and multitasking. The 16 GB onboard storage can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card.
When it comes to the camera, on the back you get a 13-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture lens, and a dual tone flash whereas the front gets an 8 MP selfie camera. There's a 3000 mAh battery too, which is non-removable.
The company revealed that they will be selling the 3 GB variant of Nokia 5 at Rs. 13,499. The sale begins from 12 AM on November 7 on Flipkart.
On a side note, Xiaomi launched Redmi Y1 with Snapdragon 435 and 3 GB of RAM, which costs only Rs. 8999 for the high-end variant with a 16-megapixel front camera. The 4 GB variant of the same phone costs just Rs. 10,999.
