OnePlus has officially confirmed that its latest smartphones in the Ace 7 series will debut in China on October 29, succeeding last year's Ace 6 lineup. The company has also revealed that the flagship OnePlus Ace 7 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform.
Alongside the chipset announcement, OnePlus introduced its proprietary “Wind Chaser Game Kernel,” which is integrated into the chip's underlying architecture at the factory level to enhance performance and optimize gaming experiences.
Thermal management is another major focus of the upcoming series. The Ace 7 lineup features a performance-focused “dual-path Glacier Air Cooling System,” engineered to maintain stable frame rates and manage temperatures during demanding gaming sessions and other intensive workloads.
According to OnePlus, the cooling solution incorporates three key engineering elements:
- Dual-Airflow Channel Design: The system uses dedicated airflow paths to direct hot air away from internal components while channeling cooler air toward critical contact points. This approach aims to manage both internal component temperatures and heat across the phone's exterior.
- Tower Fin Heat Sink Structure: Inspired by cooling solutions used in desktop PCs and graphics cards, the design employs a tower-style fin structure to expand the heat-dissipation surface area and improve thermal efficiency.
- Dedicated Temperature Control Hardware: Integrated thermal sensors work alongside an intelligent control algorithm to continuously monitor temperatures and adjust cooling performance according to usage conditions.
Design, Materials, and “Storm Island” Camera Module
Alongside its performance features, OnePlus has showcased the design of the Ace 7 series, highlighting durable materials, clean lines, and a consistent design language across both models.
Chassis and Color Options
The series will be available in two primary finishes: Radiant White for the OnePlus Ace 7 and Midnight Black for the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro. Both models feature a fiberglass rear panel with a finely textured matte finish intended to resist fingerprints and everyday scratches.
The Midnight Black variant adopts a subtle, understated appearance, while Radiant White offers a lighter finish with a semi-translucent visual effect. A flat metal frame with straight edges and a textured surface surrounds the body, aligning neatly with the rear panel for a uniform look.
Rear Camera Module and Integrated Cooling Fan
The rear camera assembly, referred to as the Deco, features a flat, cube-shaped metal housing with contours that complement the curvature of the phone's chassis. OnePlus calls this design “Storm Island.”
The camera module incorporates an oval-shaped air intake directly into its housing, allowing the active cooling fan to be integrated into the design without the need for a separate or protruding ventilation structure.
Dynamic Crescent Lighting
A crescent-shaped lighting element sits beneath the primary camera lens, featuring a starlight-gradient breathing effect. The lighting remains hidden beneath the surface when switched off and can be customized when active. It also provides ambient visual effects for gaming activities and system notifications.
Front Display Design
The OnePlus Ace 7 series features a flat display with a symmetrical layout and slim bezels. The front camera is positioned within a centrally aligned circular punch-hole cutout, maximizing the available screen area for gaming, video playback, and other content.
Pricing and Availability
Pre-orders for the OnePlus Ace 7 series are now open across major e-commerce platforms in China. The lineup is expected to include two models: the standard OnePlus Ace 7 and the premium OnePlus Ace 7 Pro.
