OnePlus has launched its latest smartphones in the Turbo 6 series, the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V in China under its new Turbo series, as previously announced. Both models feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display, with the Turbo 6 offering a 165Hz refresh rate, while the Turbo 6V comes with a 144Hz panel. The displays support both PWM dimming and DC dimming for improved eye comfort.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 sports a clean, minimalist rear design with a “metal cube” camera deco, paired with 15.5mm ultra-large golden R corners and subtly curved edges for a flagship-like look and a comfortable in-hand feel. Both devices come with IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, making it the first smartphone in its price segment to use this chipset, and it supports an ultra-high 165Hz gaming experience. The device has achieved native 165FPS adaptation across six major categories of popular mobile games, including FPS, MOBA, fighting, and racing titles. Games like Call of Duty Mobile and Naruto Mobile support native 165FPS mode, with Call of Duty Mobile capable of running at a sustained 165FPS.
It also features the Windspeed Edition chip, co-developed by OnePlus and Qualcomm, which includes the company’s self-developed “Windspeed Gaming Kernel.” This technology reportedly reduces gaming power consumption by 8%, lowers kernel load by 15.24%, and improves scheduler efficiency by 35.46%.
In addition, the Turbo 6 is equipped with a flagship-grade Glacier cooling system, the self-developed G1 e-sports Wi-Fi chip, Lingxi touch chip, and a flagship-level gyroscope. These enhancements are said to ensure stable, high-performance gaming with smooth visuals and consistent high frame rates. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Turbo 6V (also referred to as Ace 6V) is among the first smartphones to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and supports up to 144Hz gaming.
Both smartphones feature a 50MP primary rear camera, paired with a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. They use a newly developed micron-level silk replication process that creates a transparent texture while maintaining durability and enhanced drop resistance.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 series packs a massive 9000mAh battery, setting a new benchmark for the largest battery in the Turbo lineup. It supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, bypass charging technology, and up to 27W wired reverse charging.
