OPPO has officially launched its latest smartphone in the Reno16 series, the OPPO Reno16 and OPPO Reno16 Pro in China, as previously announced. The new Reno16 series brings major hardware upgrades, enhanced portrait photography features, and deeper AI integration.
Design and Display
The Reno16 series continues OPPO’s premium design language with a glass back and metal frame on both models. The OPPO Reno16 features a compact 6.32-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 2640×1216. Depending on the variant, it measures between 8.2mm and 8.36mm thick and weighs between 188g and 191g. It comes in Starry Night, Galaxy Purple, and Midnight Black colour options.
The OPPO Reno16 Pro sports a larger 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 2772×1272 resolution. It has a slimmer profile ranging from 7.7mm to 7.86mm, while the weight varies between 205g and 208g. The phone is available in Starry Night, Dream Blue, and Midnight Black shades.
Both models feature a new “Starry Night” finish that introduces a 3D ice-clear floating process, creating a naked-eye 3D visual effect on the rear panel.
Performance and Battery
The Reno16 series is powered by different MediaTek chipsets and includes OPPO’s proprietary connectivity and cooling technologies. Both devices pack the ShanHai communication enhancement chip, an independent Wi-Fi acceleration chip, and a nano ice-crystal cooling system.
The Reno16 houses a 6700mAh Glacier Battery with 80W fast charging support. Meanwhile, the Reno16 Pro packs a larger 7000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Camera Features
OPPO has placed a strong focus on imaging with a triple rear camera setup and high-resolution selfie cameras across the lineup.

Live Photos and Software
The Reno16 series introduces OPPO’s new Natural Tone engine to improve portrait clarity and colour reproduction. Live Photo support is available across all cameras, with the primary and telephoto sensors capturing 25MP Live Photos, while the ultra-wide and front cameras output 12MP Live Photos.
During the launch event, brand ambassador Song Yuqi showcased the new “Live Photo Sticker” feature, which allows users to combine up to 10 live or still photos into a single collage-style image.
AI Features
The Reno16 lineup also debuts a dedicated AI button that activates OPPO AI One-Click Notes. The feature can extract on-screen content, generate travel plans, and organize study notes across multiple apps for improved productivity.

OPPO Bubble -
Alongside the new smartphones, OPPO also unveiled the OPPO Bubble Trendy Selfie Screen, a compact accessory that measures just 7mm thick and weighs only 27.5g.
The device supports remote photography from up to 10 meters away through a magnetic connection design. OPPO also says it can be paired with customized protective cases and used as both a smartphone accessory and a bag charm.
Additionally, the accessory features a customizable display that supports both static and animated wallpapers.
