ZTE Nubia has launched its latest flagship 5G gaming smartphones the RedMagic 7 and RedMagic 7 Pro in China, as they announced. Both the phones have a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED Screen with up to 165Hz refresh rate, 960 Hz touch sampling rate, 10bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 700nits brightness, DC dimming. These are runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with nubia’s signature cooling system, and have built-in turbofan, up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and are based on Android 12 with Redmagic OS 5.0.
These have a triple rear camera setup where a 64MP primary camera along with an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. RedMagic 7 has 8MP punch-hole front-facing camera, while the Red Magic 7 pro has a 16MP Under-screen camera. Both phones feature a new ICE 8.0 cooling system with a nine-layer cooling structure, which created the first gaming smartphone with a cooling material area of up to 41279mm² and a 4124mm² super large VC cooling plate.
The RedMagic 7 Pro is the first gaming smartphone that comes with under-display camera technology, with tripod-shaped pixel arrangement and wave-shaped electrode wiring. It also includes seven layers of high-transparency materials, a built-in UDC Pro screen display chip, and more features. It is Operated by the ACE circuit design that provides the entire screen is perfect for display and shooting.
RedMagic 7 and RedMagic 7 Pro have a built-in turbofan that can reach up to 20,000rpm with a core heat source temperature lower than 3°C, compared to the previous generation. The canyon air duct for the phones also has a second air inlet, which helps to increase airflow by 35% compared to previous Redmagic phones. The canyon air duct is made of metal, and the newly added 45° angle opening on the back forms double air inlets, achieving a temperature drop of 2.4°C, according to the company.
These phones also have 500Hz touch sampling shoulder triggers with a response speed as low as 7.4ms. The shoulder triggers make use of a five-channel high-performance custom IC to enable a smoother gaming experience and also support a variety of complex actions that can all be custom-made by the user. According to the company, the anti-sweat and ergonomic design of the shoulder triggers make them more comfortable and ensure their accuracy throughout the player’s gaming experience.
The Redmagic 7 Series can also pair with a new Turbo Cooler featuring an innovative turbo centrifugal fan with a heat-dissipating capacity of 17%, a maximum cooling of two degrees lower, and is 3-decibels quieter than competitors. There is also a Boosted with RGB light effects that come with a silicone gel clip and is available in two versions transparent and gray. Nubia also introduces a new Magnetic Cooler accessory with a cooling fan for iPhone users only in China.
The RedMagic 7 Pro is powered by a 5000mAh battery with a “Born For Winning” series air-cooled up to 135W fast charging quick charger, which can be charged 100% battery in 15 minutes. The RedMagic 7 is powered by a 4500mAh dual-cell battery that supports up to 120W air-cooled fast charging and can be 100% charged in just 17 minutes. But, both these come with a 165W GaN charger in the box.

Pricing and Availability -
The RedMagic 7 comes in Cyber Neon, Night Knight, and Deuterium Transparent Edition versions. The Redmagic 7 Pro comes in Cybern Neon, Polar Black Night, and Deuterium Blade Transparent editions. The Polar Black Night, Cyber Neon, and Night Knight come with lighting effects featuring the REDMAGIC logo light at the back and RGB breathing lights. The Deuterium Transparent Edition includes a REDMAGIC logo light and RGB lights within the famed built-in turbofan that can be seen through the transparent back.
The RedMagic 7 and RedMagic 7 Pro will be available from February 21st in China and the pre-order has started from today. It will also be introduced in global markets on February 22nd, and these will be available from March 10th.
