Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K20 series in China. This is the first flagship smartphone in Redmi series which feature top-end 2019 range of processors from Qualcomm. Both the devices have similar design but differ in internal hardware.
Both the devices feature seventh-generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor with 3P lens that similar to a 7.2μm macro camera. Company claim that it performs better than previously used in-display fingerprint sensors.
The area where the finger has to be placed has also been increased by 15% for better capture. In addition, to make the internals work better, Xiaomi has used an 8-layer 3D graphite sheet to keep the innards cooler.
Xiaomi has gone with a plastic back cover on the Redmi K20 series with a 3D curved design and a flame pattern in blue and red. Moreover, there is a unique Kevlar gradient texture on the black version.
Redmi K20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. It runs on the flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage (UFS 2.1).
It also features Game Turbo 2.0 that is said to increase the performance and stability while playing high-end games. Both the devices run on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 UI.
Coming to the cameras, the Redmi K20 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor along with 8-megapixel telephoto lens for 2x loss-less zoom and a 13-megapixel 124.8° ultra-wide camera. In the front, you get a 20-megapixel popup camera that can rise in 0.8 seconds.
Redmi K20 on the other hand comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. It runs on the Snapdragon 730 SoC with up to 6GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage (UFS 2.1).
It has a similar camera stack as the Redmi K20 Pro including the 20MP pop-up selfie camera.
The Redmi K20 series comes in Flame Red, Glacier Blue and Carbon Fiber Black color options. The Redmi K20 pro has a 4000mAh battery with support of 27W fast charging which let's you charge up to 58% in just about 30 minutes. While the Redmi K20 only supports 18W fast charger.

Redmi K20 Pro is now on sale in China. While Redmi K20 is available for pre-order and will go on sale on June 6. Both the devices are only available in China. It is expected that the Redmi K20 Pro will launch as the Pocophone Poco F2 in India.
