Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its latest smartphone in the Note 15 series, the REDMI Note 15 5G in India on January 6, 2026. The mid-range 5G smartphone was previously introduced in China in August.
For the Indian market, Xiaomi has upgraded the camera hardware, confirming a 108MP primary sensor with OIS, a notable jump from the 50MP camera on the Chinese variant. The phone will also support 4K video recording and be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, which delivers up to 30% CPU and 10% GPU performance gains over its predecessor.

The REDMI Note 15 5G will feature a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging, IP66-rated dust and splash resistance, and a 6.77-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, and TÜV Triple Eye Care certification.
On the software side, the device is expected to run Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2, and include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared blaster, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.
The smartphone will be available for purchase via Amazon.in, mi.com, and offline retail stores. Xiaomi is also teasing the REDMI Pad 2 Pro, suggesting that the tablet may debut in India alongside the REDMI Note 15 5G.
