Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the REDMI Note 17 series will debut in China on July 14, after a teaser. Alongside the announcement, the company has also shared the first official look at the upcoming smartphones.
Commenting on the launch, Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing acknowledged the increasing costs across the smartphone supply chain. He noted that while many brands have responded by reducing hardware quality in budget devices, REDMI has chosen to retain a strong mid-range experience instead of making compromises.
According to the company, the REDMI Note 17 series will arrive with upgraded hardware while maintaining its value-focused positioning, rather than lowering prices at the expense of the overall user experience.
